Half ice, half water. This is the second year in a row I’ve managed to be on Ticklenaked when it was half-ice-out. Paddle up to the edge of the ice, and it’s like you’re paddling along a cold wall, the slushy edge of which rustles in the slight waves. Very cool, particularly after a long winter.
